Photo Index Files
The Index File is a 2-column list stored inside a text file. The one column identifies the student by a key (usually their student number). The other column contains the names of the associated photo file. The columns should be separated by a single tab or comma, and should have one file/student pair per line, for example:
132469, jimsmith.jpg 194923, suejones.jpg 994834, billwilliams.jpg
Some photo providers strip the leading zeros from photo ID’s when exporting them. Principalm automatically handles this situation. For example, if the ID in your admin system is 0123, and the photo provider’s corresponding ID is 123, Principalm Connect will use 123 if it cannot find 0123.
Note that as of version 7.3, Connect will accept the two columns in either order, previous versions will only accept the Key first, File Name second order.
