Help Me Connect
The following steps assume that you have already run Principalm Connect, updating to the iPhone Update Service. If you have not completed this step, please click here.
Your iPhone OS device must be able to connect to the computer running Principalm Connect using a WiFi network. The steps for installing the Principalm application and transferring data are available here.
You may see a note similar to:
Device update has completed. Please update your iPhone or iOS Device by connecting Principalm to [computer name]. If you cannot see your computer in Principalm on the iPhone, please open this link on the iphone to connect to the data: principalm://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:[port]/[directory]
This note indicates 2 different ways to connect to your iphone.
- The first way is to click the “Sync” button on your iPhone (in Principalm) and find your [computer name]. If you click on it, the files should begin downloading.
- If you have trouble with the above method you may be on another subnet, so will need to manually connect to the link listed. You can find instructions on how to connect in this manner by following this link.
