Demo Data
Principalm+ provides Demonstration Data (demodata) for most platforms, so that you can get a feel for how Principalm+ can benefit you and your school and/or district. Each platform handles demodata in a different way, so please find the platform you have below, and follow the steps to get started. Please see Installation for detailed installation instructions.
Android
Principalm+ must first be installed using the Market. If you already have Principalm installed:
- On your device, open Principalm+

- If the demo data is not already installed:
- Click the menu button on your phone (one of the built-in buttons on your device).
- Click Show Demo Data
- A dialog with “Do you want to download the demo data (~4MB) over your WIFI network?” should appear. Choose Yes
- Click OK.
- From the “Choose data source” drop-down menu:
- Select DEMO DATA.
- Enter the password: 1234.
- Click on Login or Done.
The sample data is now available and ready to use.
iOS
Principalm+ must first be installed using the App Store. Please see Installation for more detailed instructions.
- On your device, open Principalm+
- Click Sync.

- Click Built-In, in the top bar.

- Click on Sample Data.
- Enter the password: 1234.
- Click on Go.
The sample data is now available and ready to use.
BlackBerry, Palm, Windows Mobile
On all three of these platforms no Demo Data is included with the application. This is because Principalm Connect is required in order to install the Principalm+ application onto the hand held device.
You may update your card with demonstration data. These steps require:
If you do not have a Principalm Activation File, please contact care@discoverysoftware.com
- Save your Principalm Activation File to your desktop.
- Install Principalm.
- Principalm Connect will run after the installation is complete. Click Add my first school now.
- Click Load from file. Browse to the Principalm Activation File. Select it and click Open. Click OK.
- Under SIS Bridge | Data, click Browse. Select the folder C:\Program Files\Discovery Software\Principalm\DemoData\.
- Under Student Photos | Folder, click Browse. Select the folder C:\Program Files\Discovery Software\Principalm\DemoData\.
- Under Student Photos | Identified By, select Photo ID.
- Under Staff Photos | Folder, click Browse. Select the folder C:\Program Files\Discovery Software\Principalm\DemoData\.
- Under Staff Photos | Identified By, select Photo ID.
- Click Update Device.
- Select your card drive or BlackBerry card drive. Enter and confirm a password. Click Update Now.
- Follow the Principalm+ Installation steps for your particular device.
