Android Installation
How to Download Principalm for Android
Principalm+ must first be installed using the Market. If you already have Principalm installed, skip to the transferring data section below.
If your Android device is registered on Verizon, you may not have access to the full Google Android Market, and will not be able to find Principalm in a search. Please see this article for more information: No Android Market on Verizon phones. This has not been confirmed, if you are running a Verizon phone please contact our Support department so we can determine if this is the case.
On your Android Device
- On your device, open the Market app
- Click the Search icon (top right).
- Type “Principalm”, and then select it from the list.
- Click Free to Install.
- Click Accept & Download to accept permissions.
- Optional: You may want to set automatic updating for Principalm, so that your application will be automatically updated when there is a new version. Click the checkbox on the Principalm application within the app store to turn on auto updating.
- Click Install To begin installation.
On your Computer
- On your computer open the Android Market; Or you can link directly using the Android Market QR Code here:
- Click on the Install button (top left).
- Click Free to Install
- Your checkout should appear:
- You may need to sign in:
- Click Sign In
- You will be prompted to sign in using your google account
- You will need to register if you have not already done so
- Once you have signed in you will be directed to the Checkout.
- If you encounter any problems using the Android Market with regards to signing in, registering, forgotten passwords, please use the Help button available from the Android Market webpage: Support
- If you are signed in you should get to the Checkout:
- Select your device in the “Send to another device” section, if no device is listed, you need to associate one with your account.
- Click Install
- Principalm should be pushed to your device shortly, if it does not download automatically, you may wish to try downloading directly with your device (described above).
- Click OK
Once Principalm is installed, you will be able to start it any time by opening your App tray then selecting Principalm.

Transferring data via USB
- Connect your Android device to your computer, using the device’s USB cable.
- On your Android device, pull down Notifications, then select “USB Connected”, then “Turn on USB storage”. (Alternatively, some devices use these steps: A “Connect to PC” screen should be displayed on your device. Select “Disk Drive” from the list. Then click Done.)
- On your computer, open Principalm Connect.
- From the Destination drop down, select the drive letter pointing to the card in your Android device.
- Enter and confirm a password, if needed.
- Click Update Now.
- When the update has completed, disconnect your Android device from your computer.
Transferring data via USB to Android tablet
- Connect your Android device to your computer, using the device’s USB cable.
- On your computer, open Principalm Connect.
- From the Destination drop down, select a temporary drive (ie: C:\).
- Enter and confirm a password, if needed.
- Click Update Now.
- When the update has completed, open the temporary drive that the files were transferred to (ie: C:\).
- Locate the the PALM folder
- Copy the Palm folder to the root of your Android tablet internal memory card (ie: /mnt/sdcard)
- Disconnect your Android tablet to run Principalm. Note: Some tablets may require you to download a File Manager app in order to copy files to the root of the internal memory card. Remote Data Transfer is also supported on Android Tablet devices see instructions below.
