Grades
The Person Grades screen shows grades for a student. This requires the Classes Module from Discovery Software.
Android
The grade screen has a drop-down box at the top, this drop-down box indicates the Grading Period (Bin) you are currently viewing.
Below this we have a list of all the Student’s current grades for this grading period.
The Section Name is listed with a dark grey background, and has the classes icon to the left. This section’s grades are listed below this header. On the left you will see the grade title, on the right will be the value for this grade. This may be a number, a percent, a range of grades, or a comment.
Clicking on a specific grade will bring you to the Grade Details screen:
Grade Details
On the grade details screen you may see (depending on your SIS/Bridge/Data):
- Name: This is the name (or the title) for this grade, it is a descriptor like Exam, or Test, or Work Habits
- Class: This is the name of the section associated with this grade. Clicking on the name will take you to details of the Class.
- Bin: This is the Grading Period associated with this grade.
- Code: This is the Grade Code (a short descriptor for the grade)
- Note: The note contains the full information about this grade.
iPhone
The grade screen has a selection box at the top, this indicates the Grading Period (Bin) you are currently viewing. If you click on this selection you can change the Grading Period from the available bins.
Below this we have a list of all the Student’s current grades for this grading period.
The Section Name is listed first, with the Staff name below, and picture to the left. You can click on the Class to see class details.
This section’s grades are listed below this header. On the left you will see the grade title, on the right will be the value for this grade, if tis grade is a Grade Score (stored comment/grade), it will be listed below rather than to the right. This may be a number, a percent, a range of grades, or a comment.

Grade Summary
To the right of the period attendance grid is the grade summary. This section will show two grades for the student if they are available. More detailed grade information can be obtained by selecting the appropriate class and then selecting Grade Details.

To change the displayed grading bin
Tap the top left column header to choose from a pop-up list of grading bins.
To view a note or canned comment
Tap the cell containing the note or canned comment to see the full text in a pop-up window.
